The Mandrake 8.1 distribution is almost able to display Shockwave/Flash files in Konqueror. Netscape is already perfectly able to do so. First you have to do is install the:
kdebase-nsplugins-2.2.1-7mdk.i586.rpm package
which requires:
lesstif-0.93.0-3mdk.i586.rpm
You can find these on the Mandrake CD.
Second, start Konqueror, and open the "Konqueror Settings..." dialog. There is now a new Netscape Plugins section. Go there and press the "Scan for new plugins" button.
That's it. You should now be ShockwaveFlash'in away.
Basically the steps are the same as 8.1 except there appears to be an incompatibility with glibc. The Shockwave/Flash plugin is built against an older version of glibc than Konqueror/Mozilla. We will have to wait until version 6.
